Our maintenance-free, hard-wearing 2mm thick GRP door skin is available in woodgrain and smooth finishes.
The Capstone 44mm door slab is manufactured using grained and smooth 2mm thick impact resistant GRP SMC skins. Stiles and rails are manufactured from a water-resistant pure PVC polymer and reinforced using LVL (Laminated Veneered Lumber) timbers with a minimum density of 570 kg/m3. The SMC skins and sub-frame door assembly are fully bonded using a urethane adhesive resin.
Security
All standard door slabs stocked in the UK are tested to PAS24 2016.
Environmental Standards
Timbers used in the manufacturing of the Capstone door slab are subject to FSC chain of custody certification, ensuring they are from sustainable sources.
Management
Capstone and ODL Europe operate certified management systems to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
Manufacturing
The Capstone door slab is manufactured as part of the BM Trada Q-Mark scheme,which means we have full manufacturing traceability.
Memberships
ODL Europe are members of the Association of Composite Door Manufacturers (ACDM), which means that all our door slabs are tested to and comply with all current UK standards.
Fire Doors
Coming Soon new solid core GRP faced fire door.
The door slab is filled with CFC-free polyurethane foam. With a density of 44.5 – 45.5 kg/m3 this provides insulation that achieves a U value as low as 0.8W/m2k as part of a doorset assembly.
The Capstone slab with the SecureDesign board reinforcing and an ODL Europe glazing cassette system is a proven combination for achieving a security level to PAS24:2016, the industry’s enhanced security standard.
Our Capstone GRP door slab are tested and achieve BS6375 accreditation as part of a doorset.
All our GRP composite door slabs are covered by a 25-year structural guarantee. Our pre-coloured GRP composite door slabs are covered by a 10-year warranty and a 5-year warranty on woodgrain finishes.
